Géraldine Gendre joins Federation as Producer

Federation further expands operations with the appointment of Géraldine Gendre as Producer.

Géraldine Gendre started her career working for the French broadcasting group M6, where she headed the film division Cinema M6 Films. She launched French and international huge box-office hits like action film Taken, spy comedy film OSS 117Little White lies (Jean Dujardin, Marion Cottillard)and On the Other Side of the Tracksstarring Omar Sy and Laurent Lafitte.

In 2012, Geraldine Gendre joined StudioCanal. She was appointed Head of Production for French content, as well as Head of Distribution two years later covering film, video, VOD and SVOD releases. Under her leadership, StudioCanal became France’s leading film distributor with 16M annual cinema admissions, thanks to successful feature films like Paddington 2, Sahara, Alibi.com, Epouse-Moi mon pote, Paddington 2, Skip School. In the meantime, she helped developing and producing films like Mia and the white lion and Sink of Swim (out of competition at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival).

In 2019, she decided to expand her expertise to TV production and joined Newen Group as DG of Telfrance Series. As such, she was in charge of hit daily show Plus Belle la vie (3M viewers each night on French public channel France 3) as well as its primetime specials.

As a producer, Géraldine Gendre, primary role at Federation will be to help the group develop in every aspect of the cinematographic field (platforms & cinemas) as well as in its diversity of genres and talents.

Geraldine will also contribute to the rapid growth of Federation, by following up on current productions, and eventually lunching her own original creations.

This new appointment comes in the wake of the fast development of Federation that now boasts over 210 employees, a number that grew recently with the integration of Robin&Co and Bonne Pioche into Federation group.
