A mini-series for ARTE from acclaimed director Guillaume Nicloux
Premiering in Berlin as part of Berlinale Series

FEDERATION ENTERTAINMENT (Pascal Breton, Lionel Uzan) has acquired international rights to Guillaume Nicloux’s mini-series, TWICE UPON A TIME, co-produced by Unité de Production (Bruno Nahon) and Arte France. With award-winning actors Gaspard Ulliel and Freya Mavor in the leading roles.
The four one-hour episodes will be presented in Berlin on Tuesday, February 12 as part of Berlinale Series.
Guillaume Nicloux, one of the most talented filmmakers of his generation, once again amazes with his first TV mini-series, a mix of sci fi and romance.
Vincent (Gaspard Ulliel), in his thirties, dreams of winning back his ex, Louise (Freya Mavor). He’s grief-stricken and driven to despair, attempting to get over the break-up with endless partying and one-night stands – until the day a delivery man gives him a package he never ordered. A strange box…
The series stars Gaspard Ulliel (Juste la fin du monde, Cesar Award for Best Actor, 2017 ; Eva, Saint Laurent, Un long Dimanche de Fiançailles, Cesar Award for Best Emerging Actor, 2015) and Freya Mavor (Skins, Sunshine on Leith, Best Actress Nominee BAFTA Awards, 2014).
Filmed in Bordeaux and Paris, as well as London and Iceland, the mini-series is produced by Bruno Nahon, (Ainsi soient-ils, Louise Wimmer, Sparring, Razzia…) and directed by Guillaume Nicloux (Valley of Love, Cannes Film Festival Official Selection, 2015), (La Religieuse, Berlin Film Festival Official Selection, 2013); co-written by Guillaume Nicloux et Nathalie Leuthreau (Holiday, Suite Noire).
The series will air later in 2019 on Arte. FEDERATION holds worldwide rights to the series, outside Germany and German-speaking territories.
