The financial thriller selected for MIPDrama Screenings 2017

Federation Entertainment has acquired international distribution rights to BAD BANKS, a high-profile series with 6 episodes about the cut-throat world of high finance from producers Letterbox Filmproduktion and Iris Productions. The series was produced/shot in Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Brussels, Paris, London and Bahrain.
Power, manipulation and betrayal weave their way through this suspenseful thriller in the merciless world of high finance.
BAD BANKS is one of 12 international series selected for the second edition of the MIPDrama Screenings, in connection with the MIPTV market held in Cannes. On Sunday April 2nd, over 500 buyers and industry executives attending MIPTV will have an exclusive sneak peek of 15 minutes of footage from the series on the big screen in the Palais des Festivals. BAD BANKS is presented in the ‘’Works in Progress’’ category.
Sales for the serialized drama will be launched in the fall at MIPCOM 2017 by Federation Entertainment, who holds worldwide rights (excluding 1st window in France and Germany).
Federation Entertainment had the honor of participating in the first edition of the MIPDrama Screenings in 2016 with the Scandinavian series BORDERTOWN, which has since been acquired by leading well-known platforms around the world.
A series starring Paula Beer (‘’Frantz’’, ‘’Dark Valley’’), Désirée Nosbusch, Tobias Moretti, Jean Marc Barr and others. BAD BANKS is a coproduction of Letterbox Filmproduktion and Iris Productions and ZDF in cooperation with Arte, with support from the Film Fund Luxembourg, Hessen Film and Medien, and the German Motion Picture Fund.
The show is written by Oliver Kienle (“Bis aufs Blut”, “Tatort: Happy Birthday Sarah”) and directed by Christian Schwochow (“Paula”, “The Tower”).
